To offer financial support to the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake earlier this school year, Student Leadership decided to host a 12 hour "Wake-a-thon". Students from grades 5 to 9 stayed awake from 9:00pm on Friday to 9:00am on Saturday! Various activities such as video game contests, running relays, a dance, a limbo contest, movies, scavenger hunts, dodgeball, brisk walks, and , of course, the SLEEP POLICE, kept everyone busy and AWAKE! Way to go Broxton Park! Final totals are still being tallied but thus far we have raised more than $4500!!

Wear anything green, or Irish, or Scottish for that matter!!

Although it had to be postponed from its original date in February, the "Snow Ball — A Winter Masquerade" was still a big hit in March---even the day before Spring's official arrival!! It was a great way to say "Good-bye" to the winter! Everyone looked great in their fancy dress clothes and creative masks!

Defy the winter! Students donned their summer wear to warm up the cold days of January! Hot dogs, chips, and pop were sold at the "beach" with all profits going to Haitian Earthquake Relief!

The annual Broxton Park "Fusion" Basketball PEP Rally was held on the afternoon of Fri., Jan.15/10. The whole school gathered to applaud and cheer on our Senior Girls' and Senior Boys' basketball teams! We all enjoyed watching the Sr. Boys give a great effort against the team from Graminia! Go Fusion!

Crazy hair, Crazy clothes, Crazy makeup, Crazy accessories, Crazy combinations! It's all good and it's all C-R-A-Z-Y!! Big fun!

Students in Early Years and in Middle Years were matched with a staff member "model". Each class had to decorate their teacher in a (tasteful and respectful!) Christmas-themed way! The winning class/teacher in both Early Years and Middle Years received enough pop and vanilla ice cream to create "floats" for the entire class! The students came up with some terrific ideas and the teachers were truly great sports in their participation! Rumour has it that our illustrious judges, Mrs. "C", Mr. Wakaruk, and Mrs. Angus, will be making guest appearances on "American Idol" in the near future! A great time was had by all!

The families of Ecole Broxton Park School demonstrated a great deal of generosity as hampers overflowed. Kids had to work very hard to make all of the hampers fit on the bus! Way to go Broxton!

Back to the days of poodle skirts, bobby socks, leather jackets, pompadors, beads, peace signs, mini-skirts, go-go boots, and bell bottom jeans! And a lot of dances with weird names!

In honour of those men & women who have served and do presently serve our country in our military and police forces, we proudly wore Canada's colours of red & white!

As part of their Social Studies unit on Japan, the FI 8 class usually participates in a Judo demonstration, hosted by our own Mrs. Yamada (EA), 1st Dan black belt!!! Thanks to Natalie in FI 8 for taking the photos!
