SGMS Bands Program

The SPRUCE GROVE MIDDLE SCHOOLS BAND PROGRAM is an extra curricular music enrichment program that provides middle years students (grades 5-9) in Spruce Grove an opportunity to learn how to play a wind instrument in a group setting.

• The BEGINNING BAND meets on Wednesdays for 13 classes. Beginning band students are introduced to the fundamentals of playing and music reading. There are two sessions each school year; Sept-Dec and Jan-April.

• The CONCERT BAND is an auditioned ensemble that meets on Thursdays from September to April. Concert band students continue to develop their playing techniques and musicianship and perform at concerts and festivals.

Come to the INFORMATION MEETING on Tuesday September 7; 7:00 pm in École Broxton Park School music room to find out more about the program and try out some of the band instruments.
